Food For Thought...

Before you can grow up, you must fall in love 3 times:

Once you must fall in love with your best friend, ruining your friendship forever. This will teach you who your true friends are, and the fine line between friendship and more.

Once you must fall in love with someone you believe to be perfect. You will learn that no one is perfect, and that you should never be treated as any less than you deserve.

And once you must fall in love with someone that is exactly like you. This will teach you about who you are, and who you want to be.

  1. I like your blog! I think you might like mine, too - and I believe we used the same template, haha.

You remind me of myself when I was your age (and I'm an Aquarius, too!).

I liked this simple post - I'd heard this advice years ago and I'm happy to say that at age of "almost 31" I have met all three of these guys. Number one: My best friend from high school. Falling in love with him was a disaster!. Number two: My ex-fiance. Yup, I was engaged a year ago and he was perfect on paper, but not so much in real life (I broke things off, it was terribly hard to do!). Guy number 3: Just like me and we've been dating for about 6 months now. Wonder what that means when you've met all three of the guys you're supposed to? Good things, I hope! : )

  2. Hmm, I feel for this man. Even if you knew nothing was going to happen, you should have made an effort, no? I've been on dates where I've seen the look of disappointment on the woman's face when I've turned up. And from that point on they haven't allowed themselves to have a good time. I'm not saying you could magic up feelings for someone you're not attracted to, but what's the point in having a rubbish, uncomfortable night? Why not just make the effort and then say your goodbyes. Hmm, I am rambling now aren't I? Anyway, I SO get your point about being out of options, maybe being a bit lonely and just picking up dates you wouldn't normally pick up on FB. Been there so many times.
Right, I'm going now...I write about my own dating disasters. Check my blog out if you get a minute and consider yourself followed:
